Alamoosook Lake

Perfect Location

The Inn’s location on the shores of Alamoosook Lake lets our guests enjoy nature at its best. We have crystal clear water, beautiful native pine trees and an astonishing array of wildlife. We have no light pollution, so you can see more stars than you ever thought existed.

Bird with Bird's Nest

Birders’ Haven

Loons, osprey, and bald eagles all contributed to making the inn a “Best Nest” accommodation by the Maine Birding Trail association. The Trail follows 82 prime birding sites throughout the state. Alamoosook Lake is a central location for visiting several of the top sites along the Trail.

Lots to Do

Our recreation room and the large stone fireplace is the ideal place to relax after a day spent taking in the pleasures while visiting Maine! Curl up with a book from our library, or kick back and enjoy Direct TV. For the young (or young at heart), there is also foosball, Ping-Pong, and board games to keep them entertained. Outside the Inn, the lakefront stretches for a quarter mile — the perfect place for a stroll! Lakeside picnic tables offer the perfect opportunity to try lobster rolls from Crosby’s, a local specialty.

Canoes on side of lake

Grab a paddle, it’s on us!

The complimentary use of our canoes and kayaks is extended to all guests! So grab a paddle at our boathouse and experience firsthand the pleasures of our gorgeous lake and its surrounding area. Adventurous guests would want to kayak up to the Craig Brook Fish Hatchery and take a tour of the oldest hatchery on the East Coast!
